Mass Timber Learning Session

Women Take The Floor

Colleen Harper, Thornton Tomasetti

Arthi Krishnamoorthy, TenBerke

Erinn McGurn, Smith College

Jody Staruk, Consigli

Smith College empowers students, faculty, and staff to work together to enact positive change on campus and around the globe. Kathleen McCartney Hall, the first mass timber building at Smith, will be a sustainable, inclusive, and inspiring hub for career development and leadership training. In this groundbreaking building, the college’s commitment to career development and its belief in the power of women’s leadership will take another step forward.

This innovative structure was designed and constructed by a women-led team who exemplify and practice collaborative leadership. The result is extraordinary: a zero-energy-ready building that is overtly welcoming and designed as a place for students to explore and pursue their purpose in an evolving world.

Join us for a moderated panel discussion to explore the team’s collaborative leadership approach, their strategies for achieving better outcomes, and how they created a space that unites sustainability and purpose to inspire future generations.
